Sixty (60) two-member golfing teams, keen to take on the challenge of the now eagerly anticipated 2010 Audi quattro Cup Country Final, teed off from 12:30 pm on Saturday 15th May at St. Andrew’s Golf Club, Moka, Maraval to vie for victory in this annual tournament, which has become one of the top events on our local golfing calendar.
At stake for the ‘champions of the course’ was the chance to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the World Final of the quattro Cup to be held at Pevero Golf Club on Italy’s Island of Sardinia in October this year. By the end of the day, it was the duo of Eric Hopkins and Kelvin Arthur who emerged as the front-running team, followed by the teams of Dennis Patrick and Gerard Darlington, and Ravi Deonarine and Selwyn Pragg who placed second and third respectively.
Tournament sponsor, Southern Sales and Service Company Limited was once again uplifted by the response of the local golfing fraternity to the tournament, which is now in its fifth year. Southern Sales extends its heartfelt thanks to all the participating teams and heartily congratulates the golfers who swung their way into the top spots.
